Given; OP = 18 cm, OQ = 12 cm

OQ .l PQ (Radius is perpendicular to the tangent at the point of contact}

In right OQP, OP2 = OQ2 + PQ2

==> (18)2 = (12)2 + PQ2

==> 324 = 144 PQ2

==> PQ2 =180

� PQ = 1180 cm = 6.15 cm
