Join the points O,P,T .It forms like a triangle whose hypotenuse is26cm altitude is 10cm then
Base=26*26_10*10=576
Radius =root of 576 i.e;24

The radius of the circle is 24 cm.

Given:

From the given information, we can get the diagram given below,

To find:

Radius = ?

Solution:

Join the points O, P, and T.

We get a right angled triangle, \Delta OTP

By using Pythagoras theorem, we get,

OP^{2} = OT^{2} + TP^{2}

OT^{2} = OP^{2} - TP^{2}

OT^{2} = 26^{2} - 10^{2}

OT^{2} = 676 - 100

OT^{2} = 576

\Rightarrow OT=24 \ \mathrm{cm}
