A point 'P' on the line has Co-ordinate -2. What are the Co-ordinates of the points which are at a distance of 8 units from P?

First you need to find where the negative number is on the coordinate plane, it will either be on the x-axis, y-axis, I, II, III or IV! III is all negatives, II

is partially negative I is all positive and IV is all negative!

If its 8 units away from the -2 count 8 units away and youll find your anwser, then line up where each point matches, and youll get

-2,6  but i dont know where your point is, so if its on the 3rd quadrant then that is the anwser
