Point 'R' is 6300 m above the sea level.

So, position of 'R' = 6300 m above sea level.

Point 'S' is 4500 m below the sea level.

So, position of 'S' = 4500 m below sea level.

But since 'S' is below sea level,

we can take its position as -4500 m.

The distance between 'R' and 'S'

= {6300-(-4500)} m

= (6300+4500) m

= 10800 m

Hence, the distance between 'R' and 'S' is 10800 m.
