If we divide a circle in 4 equal parts then 3/4th circle will look like that of given in picture.

Well, it I started obvious that displacement of particle to travel 3/4th circle is Hypotenuse of right angled triangle formed in that portion.
Displacement = √(R^2 + R^2) = R√2

Average velocity = Displacement / Time
= R√2 / t

Magnitude of average velocity in this time interval is R√2 / t
