A pole 5m high is fixed at the top of the tower. the angle of elevation of top of the pole observed from point A on the ground is 60o and the angle of depression of the point A from the top of the tower is 45o. find the height of the tower.

since the angle of depression of a point A from the top of the tower is 45 degrees.........
height of d tower = horizontal dist. of pt. A from d base of d tower
let d height of tower be 'x'.
from the 1st condition......... tan(60) = (5+x) / x
solving d above eqn. ------ x = 6.83
