In Δ PQR
(PQ)² + (QR)² = (RP)²
⇒ 12² + 5² = (RP)²
⇒ 144 + 25 = (RP)²
⇒ 165 = (RP)²
⇒ RP = √165
⇒ RP = 13
RP = PS = 13 m
∴ Original height of the tree = 12+13 = 25 m
(PQ)² + (QR)² = (RP)²
⇒ 12² + 5² = (RP)²
⇒ 144 + 25 = (RP)²
⇒ 165 = (RP)²
⇒ RP = √165
⇒ RP = 13
RP = PS = 13 m
∴ Original height of the tree = 12+13 = 25 m
