Let AB be the vertical pole and CA be the rope. Then,

∠ACB=30

o

and AC=20 m

In right △ ABC,

sin30

o

=

AC

AB

2

1

=

20

AB

AB=10 m

Therefore, the height of the pole is 10 m.

Answer :-

Let ABC be the right-angled triangle formed by the pole and rope

By using Pythagoras theorem in right △ABC

(Ac)² = 21² + 20²

AC² = 441 + 400

AC = √ 441 + 400

AC = √ 841

Ac = 29 m

Therefore, the length of the rope is 29 m

Hope it helps :)
