A pole is (4x+13) m long. If the pole is broken and one part is (10-5x) m long. Find the length of the other part of the pole.​

Ratio of 2 parts = 5:3

So, length of these 2 parts= 5x cm & 3x cm

5x + 3x = 30

=> 8x = 30

=> x = 30/8 = 15/4 cm

So longer part = 5*15/4 =75/4cm = 18.75 cm

Smaller part = 3*15/4 = 45/4 cm = 11.25 cm
