Given :- A polygon has 1377 diagonals. Determine the number of sides of this polygon ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • Total diagonals in a polygon with n sides is = n(n - 3) / 2

so, if ee assume the sides of polygon as n .

then,

→ n(n - 3)/2 = 1377

→ n² - 3n - 2754 = 0

→ n² - 54n + 51n - 2754 = 0

→ n(n - 54) + 51(n - 54) = 0

→ (n - 54)(n + 51) = 0

→ n = 54 or (-51) .

therefore, the number of sides of this polygon will be 54.
