Given :

  • F = ?
  • V = 40
  • E = 60

 \rm \:  F + V- E= 2.. \longmapsto(1)

 \implies \rm \:  F +40- 60= 2

Simplifying equation 1

 \implies \rm \:  F - 20= 2

 \implies \rm \:  F = 2 + 20

 \implies \rm \:  F = 22

 \sf \therefore \: No. \: of \: faces \: of \: a \: polyhedron \: is \: \bf22
