Answer:

yes, the given statement is correct.

Given:

a statement- A polynomial of degree 2 has at most 2 zeroes

To find:

to tell if the given statement is true or false

Solution:

When the maximum power of a variable term in the polynomial equation equals 2, the polynomial is said to be quadratic. Only the exponent of the variable is taken into account when determining the degree of a polynomial.

to answer this question, we must keep in mind that:

  • A polynomial with degree n will only have n zeroes at most.
  • a quadratic polynomial is of the format- ax² + by + z

so, since a quadratic polynomial's greatest degree is 2, therefore, it will have at most two zeros.

Hence, the given statement is correct.
