A pond of depth 20 cm is filled with water of refractive index 4/3. Calculate the apparent depth of tank when viewed normally?

The graph of real depth d1 against theapparent depth d2 is a straight line graph passing through the origin. This shows that the apparent depth is directly proportional to the real depth. The gradient of the graph ofreal depth d1 against apparent depth d2 is therefractive index of water.
