Given A pool has some initial amount of water in it then it start being filled so the water level rises at the rate of 6  cm per minute after 20 minutes the water level is 220 cm

To Find :

Graph the pool's water level (in centimeters) as a function of time (in minutes).

Solution:

y  = mx  + c

m = water level rises rate = 6 cm per minute

x  is the time

c is the initial water  level

y = water level  at time  x  min

after 20 minutes the water level is 220 cm

=> y = 220  when  x = 20

220 = 6(20) + c

=> c = 100

Hence

y  =  6x  + 100
