As a population contains organisms from the same specie hence, they have more genetic similarity as compare to the organisms of a biotic community. As a community is formed by combination of different populations means a number of unrelated individuals hence more genetic diversity and less similarity as that of population which has more genetic similarity and less genetic diversity.
