Given :

Population in 2005 = 50,000

Increase in population per year = 10 %

To Find :

Population in 2007 = ?

Solution :

= 10 % of 50,000 = 50,000 * 10 / 100

    = 500,000 / 100

    = 5,000

Population in year 2006 = 50,000 + 5,000 = 55,000.

= 10 % of 55,000 = 55,000 * 10 / 100

    = 550,000 / 100

    = 5,500

Population in year 2007 = 55,000 + 5,500 = 60,500.

∴ The Population of the Village in 2007 will be 60,500.
