A portar lifts a luggage of 15 kg from the ground and puts it on his head 1.5 m above the ground. calculate the work done by him on luggage(with explanations)

Work done = force × distance
= mg ×h
15 ×10×1.5
= 15 × 15
= 225 joule

Shaina11: I used formula of work .then minimum force needed to move up will be equal to downward force and downward force is weight which is mass × acceleration due to gravity

So, W = U = mgh

Here, m = 15kg

g = 10m/s²

and h = 1.5m

So,
W = U = mgh

= 15 × 10 × 1.5

= 225J
