becuz we know that if displacement of a body is perpendicular to the direction in which force is acting on the body,then work done by that force on the body is zero.

here,the displacement of the load on the porter's head is in the horizontal direction,but the gravity acting on the body is vertically downwards.

so the angle between force of gravity and the displacement of load is 90 degrees.

so W=F.S.cosФ⇒F.S.cos90 as cos 90=0

W=0

so,that's it
