Let one positive number be = a

∴ the other positive number = 5 x a = 5a

First no. plus 21 = a + 21

Second no. plus 21 = 5a + 21

Since 5a is greater than a, (5a + 21) is greater than (a + 21)

∴ 2 x (a + 21) = 5a + 21 (According to question)

2(a + 21) = 5a + 21

2a + 42 = 5a + 21

42 - 21 = 5a - 2a

21 = 3a

3a = 21

a = 21/3

∴ a = 7

∴ one positive number = 7

and another positive number = 5(7) = 35
