Let the 2 numbers be x and 5x.

If 21 is added to both,the numbers become 21+x and 21 + 5x

So a/q

21+5x=2(21+x)

21+5x=42+2x

5x-2x=42-21

3x=21

x=21/3

x=7

Now,the numbers are x=7 and 5x=35

Let above number be 'x'

 \leadsto \tt{2  \times x + 21 = 5x + 21}

 \leadsto \tt{2  x + 42 = 5x + 21}

 \leadsto \tt{2  x - 5x   =   21 - 42}

 \leadsto \tt{- 3x   =   21 }

 \leadsto \tt{ 3x   =   21 }

 \leadsto \tt{ x   =    \frac{21}{3}  }

 \leadsto \tt{ x   =    7}

So the two numbers are 7 and 35.
