a positive number is 7 times another number. if 22 is added to both the numbers then one of the new number formed becomes twice the other new number. What are the numbers ?

Ans is 4.4 But I want explanation​

other number = 7x

if 21 is added to both of them,

one number = x + 22

other number = 7x + 22

then one of the new numbers formed becomes twice the other new number.

so, we will balance the equation,

x = 4

so,

one number = x = 4

other number = 7x = 7 × 4 = 28
