Answer:Let P be the positive number.

The actual value should have been. :-

P/6.

The value with the error is 6p

Error = 6p - 1/6p = 35/6p

Percentage error :

35/6p ÷ 6p

35/6p × 1/6p = 35/36

35/36 × 100 = 97.22 %

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

96%

Let the original number be X

Thus, the result is (5*X = 5x)

While, according to the question the number is divided by 5, which gives us

x/5 as a wrong result

Thus the difference between the actual result and the wrong result is (5x -x/5 = 24 -x)

Therefore the change in percentage between the actual result and wrong result is

(Change in result)/ (actual result) *100

={(24/x)/5x} x 100
