Its an Famous Question of D.C. Pandey book and Modern A.B.C. Book. Your Question is incomplete. Correct Question will be,

A positive point change q is placed at a distance 2R from the surface of a metallic shell of radius R. The electric field at centre of shell due to induced charge has magnitude ?

Explanation ⇒ Now, the surface is metallic, means metallic. Now, this also means no charge can go inside hence Electric field insides of this metallic conductor will always be zero.

A positive charge is kept at an point which is at an distance of 2R from from the sphere.

Electric field inside of the conductor due to induced charge will be zero.  because no charge can be induced inside of the conductor from outside, due to Electrostatic effects of conductors.

Thus, this charge can also not produce any Electric field inside of it.

Hope it helps.
