{\pink{\mathbb{hOlA!!}}}

total of ratio=20

a) Percentage of black paint={\frac{3}{20}×100}

Percentage=15%

b)white paint required=?

let the ratio be :-3x+17x

20x=3.5 litres
x={\frac{3.5}{20}}

x=0.175 l

White paint required=3x
17×0.175

{\blue{White\:paint\: required=2.0975\: litres}}

c) black paint required to make 4.5 litres of paint

3x+17x=4.5
20x=4.5
x={\frac{4.5}{20}}

x=0.225 l

Black paint required=17x
=3×0.225
{\red{Black \:paint\: required=0.675\: litres}}

Answer:

a)15%

b)2.975

c)0.675

Step-by-step explanation:

a)Ratio= 3+17

= 20

Percentage of black paint = 3/20×100/1

=3 × 100/20 × 1

=300/20

=300 ÷ 20/20 ÷ 20

=15 %

Hence, 15% is black paint...

b)Let be x= 3 x + 17 x

Required litres = 3.5 litre

20x = 3.5 litres

x= 3.5 /20

x = 0.175 litres

White paint required = 3x

17 × 0.175=2.975 litres...

c) Black paint required to make 4.5 litres of paint

3x + 17 x = 4.5 litres

20 x. = 4.5 litres

x. = 4.5 / 20

x. = 0.225 litres

Black paint required =17x

3× 0.225

Black paint required = 0.675 litres.....
