According to Ohm's Law ;

Potential difference = Current drawn x Resistance

V = I x R

220 = I x 440

I = 0.5 Amperes

Now the Heat energy produced in a time 't' is given by the formula ;

H = V x I x t

H = 220 x 0.5 x 20

H = 2200 Joules

Hope it helps!
