(1) V = IR

begin mathsize 12px style straight I equals straight V over straight R equals fraction numerator 250 space straight V over denominator 1000 space straight capital omega end fraction equals 0.25 space straight A end style

The current through the resistance = 0.25 A.

(2) H = I2Rt

= (0.25)2 × 1000 Ω × 12 s

= 750 J

OR

H = V I t

= 250 V × 0.25 A × 12 s

= 750 J

Heat produced=750 J

it is 1000omega not 1000ampere correct it first then write ok

your welcome

Explanation:

given that potential difference=250 V

resistance=1000 A

current=?

We know that v= I * r

so

I = 250/1000=0.25 A
