Given :-

Resistance of the electric iron = 1000Ω

Potential Difference(V) across it = 250V

So ,

By Ohm's Law we have

V = IR

250V = I x 1000Ω

I = 250/1000

I = 1/4 A

So Heat energy produced in 12 seconds = I²RT

[ By Joules law of heating ; H = I²RT ]

So , H = (1/4)² x 1000 x 12

=> 1/16 x 1000 x 12

=> 1000 x 3/4

=> 250 x 3

=> 750 J

So the heat energy produced by the electric iron in 12 seconds is 750 Joule
