A POTENTIally dangerous of 240 v is applied across a coil resistance. a current of 0.50 a flows through it . calculate the energy disspated as heat in ten minutes

we know that heat = i × i × r × t

from ohms law r = v / i

put value of r in above formula

h = i × i × t x v/i

h = i x v x t

h = 0.50 x 240 x 10 x 60

h = 72000 joule

h = 72 KJ
