A potentiometer wire has a resistance 40 ohm and
its length is 10 m. It is connected to a resistance
of 760ohm in series. If emf of battery is 2 V then
potential gradient is :- (2) 1 x 10 V/m
(3) 1 x 10 V/m (4) 2 x 10-6 V/m

Answer:

10^-2 V/m

Explanation:

K = E Rw/(R + Rw) L

Rw= resistance of wire

K=2×40/(760+40) 10

=8/800=10^-2 V/m
