A potted plant is kept in light faraday and one of its leaves is tested for starch the same plant is kept in the dark for today's another leaf is tested for starch will there be a difference in the results of the two experiments give reasons for your answer

Yes there will be a difference in the result of the test.

The leaf which was tested before the plant being kept in dark will turn blue black when iodine solution is added to it showing the presence of starch.

The leaf which is tested after the plant being kept in dark will term brown when tested with iodine solution showing that starch is not present. This is because the starch stored in the plant is used up and photosynthesis does not take place in dark so no starch is formed.
