A precious stone has fallen and broken into two pieces whose weights are in the ratio 2:3. the value of the stone is propotional to the square of its weight. if the value of the stone before breaking is 26000. find the loas due to the breakage.

2x+3x=26000
5x=26000
x=26000÷5
x=5200
2x=2×5200=10400
3x=3×5200=15600
