A printer used 1890 digits to number the pages of a bulky books.How many pages are there in that book?

Till pg.9 total no. Of digits used=9×1=9
From 10-99 the total no of digits used=2×90=180.from 100-x , where x is any three digits no the total no of digits used for 3-digits no=3n where n is no. Of 3-digit no.
So,9+180+3n=1890.
=>n=567.so there are 567 3-digit no
i.e first 3-digit no=100,2nd 3-digit no=101,... continuing this 567th 3-digit no =666.
So,ther are 666 pages in book
