Let the ratio of red apples to to green apples be 7x : 2x

Given,

Total apples= 63

So,7x+2x=63

A.T.P

7x+2x=63

9x=63

x=63÷9 = 7

So the number of,

Red apples= 7x [x=7]

=7×7

=49 apples of red colour

Green apples=2x [x=7]

=2×7

=14 green apples
