The elevation angle of the projectile is surrounds at highest point and it seems from the point of projection.


The velocity is Vy=v sin theta and V=sin 45=v/root (2).


In fact, the triangle because as in the question the body with at highest point so theta is 45.


The triangle is perpendicular as height based as R/2.
