Given:

Velocity = v0

Angle on inclined plane = 90

To Find:

Vertical displacement of the projectile.

Solution:

ux = 0, thus ax = gsinθ

uy = u, thus ay = -gcos θ

Y = 0 = uyt + 1/2ayT²

= T = 2uy/ay

= 2u/gcos θ

R = uxt + 1/2axT²

= 1/2gsinθ   ( 2u/gcos θ )²

= 2u²tanθ /gcosθ

Answer: The vertical displacement is 2u²tanθ /gcosθ
