Answer:

Explanation:

Solution,

Here, we have

Velocity of projection,  v = (6i + 8j) m/s

Acceleration due to gravity, g = 10 m/s²

Here, we have

vx = 6 m/s

vy = 8 m/s

We know that,

v² = vx² + vy²

⇒ v² = (6)² + (8)²

⇒ v² = 36 + 64

⇒ v² = 100

v = 10 m/s.

So, Here we get

SinΘ = 8/10 and,

CosΘ = 6/10

R = v²sin 2Θ/g

⇒ R = v²2 sinΘ cosΘ/g

⇒ R = 10 × 10 × 2 × 8/10 × 6/10 × 1/10

⇒ R = 2 × 6 × 8/10

R = 9.6 m.

Hence, the horizontal range of a projectile is 9.6 m.
