Answer:

Complementary angles

Step-by-step explanation:

A projectile will cover same horizontal distance when the initial angle of projection are Complementary angles

Horizontal  Range =  V²Sin2α/g

V²Sin2α₁/g  = V²Sin2α₂/g

α₁ = π/4 - a   α₂ = π/4 + b

V²Sin2(π/4 - a)   =  V²Sin2(π/4 + b)/g

V²Sin(π/2 - 2a) = V²Sin(π/2 + 2b)/g

Cos2a = Cos2b

=> 2a = 2b

=> a = b

α₁ = π/4 - a  & α₂ = π/4 + a

α₁ + α₂ = π/4 - a + π/4 + a

α₁ + α₂ =  π/2
