Answer :-

Given:-

  • a property dealer charges rupees 2% commission from a buyer or a seller of property
  • Mr Ram Lal paid rupees 20,000 as a commission for purchasing a flat

To proof:-

  • what was the value of the flat

Solution :-

 \small{ \sf{Let \:  us \:  assume \:  that \:  the \:  value \:  of \:  the  \: flat  \: be  \: x .}}

 \small \sf{2 \% \:  written \:  in \:  the \:  decimal \:  form}

 \large \sf = { \frac{2}{100} }

 \small{ \sf{= \:  0.02}}

 \small \sf{than \:  the \:  equation \:  becomes}

 \small{ \sf{x × 0.02 = 20000}}

 \large \sf{x =  \frac{2000}{0.02}}

 \small \sf{x = Rs \:  1000000  }

therefore the value of the flat is Rs 1000000 .

Hence proved
