Given :-

Total amount of property = Rs. 3,50,000

Ratio of the amount of property shared = 2 : 2 : 3

To Find :-

Worth of property received by each brother.

Analysis :-

Here we are given with the total amount and the ratio of the property shared with the three brothers.

Consider the common ratio as a variable.

Make an equation accordingly and find the value of the variable.

Substitute the value of the variable in each of the share given in the ratio and find the worth of property received by each.

Solution :-

Assume the common ratio to be 'x'.

Making an equation,

2x + 2x + 3x = 350000

7x = 350000

By transposing,

x = 350000/7

x = 50000

Finding the share of each,

First brother = 2x = 2 × 50000 = Rs. 100000

Second brother = 2x = 2 × 50000 = Rs. 100000

Third brother = 3x = 3 × 50000 = Rs. 150000
