charge on proton, q = 1.6 × 10^-19 C

mass of proton , m = 1.67 × 10^-27 Kg

Acceleration due to gravity, g = 10m/s² [experimental value ]

a/c to question,

electrical force = weight

or, charge × electric field intensity = mass × acceleration due to gravity

or, qE = mg

or, E = mg/q

= (1.67 × 10^-27 × 10)/(1.6 × 10^-19)

= 1.04375 × 10^(-26+19)

= 1.04375 × 10^-7 N/C

hence, magnitude of electric field intensity E = 1.04375 × 10^-7 N/C
