A pump can lift 9000 kg coal per hour from a mine of depth 120 m. Assuming its efficiency to be 75 % its power will be (in watts)-

output power=9000*120*10=10800000/3600=3000
 \frac{75x}{100}  = 3000 \\ so \: x \:  = 4000
so the power of pump is 4000watt
