power =  \frac{energy}{time}  \\  \\ total \: energy \: used \: by \: pump \: is \\ mgh +  \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}  \\ 1000 \times 10 \times 12 +  \frac{1}{2} 1000 \times  {(15)}^{2}  \\ 500(240+ 225) \\  = 500(465)joules \\  \\ power =  \frac{500 \times 465}{60}  \\  = 3875watt \\  \\  \\ now \: in \: horsepower \\ 1hp \:  =  \: 746 \: watt \\ no. \: of \: hp \: will \: be -  \\  \frac{3875}{746} hp \\  = 5.19 \: hp
✔️✔️✔️5.19 hp power is delivered by engine.
