'A' purchases a bus on hire purchase system from 'B' for Rs. 2,00,000. He pays Rs. 50,000 each at intervals of 2 years. 'B' charges interest at 10%p.a. at yearly rests. Calculate the amount of cash price of the bus.

Ans: Cash price: Rs. 1,27,022, Interest: 1 : Rs. 26,675
2 : Rs. 21,776
3 : Rs. 15,849
4 : Rs. 8,678.

Hint: Installments are at 2 years' intervals; but interest is charged at 10%p.a. at yearly rests. So, compound interest is to be calculated. Interest in the last installment = 50,000*21/121 = 8,678.

Solve this sum with clear work out.
