Rs. 375 is the discount A get from the wholesaler.

Step-by-step explanation:

let the original price of car is x.

A purchases at discount of 20% = x - 20%x

A sells at profit of 20% = (x - 20%x) + 20%(x - 20%x) = 1800_given

∴    (x - x/5) + 1/5(x - x/5) = 1800_ (∵ 20% = 20/100 = 1/5)

     (5x - x/5) + 1/5(5x - x/5) = 1800

     4x/5 + 1/5(4x/5) = 1800

     4x/5 + 4x/25 = 1800

     (4x × 5/5 × 5) + 4x/25 = 1800

     20x/25 + 4x/25 =1800

     20x + 4x / 25 = 1800

     24x/25 = 1800

     24x = 1800 × 25

     24x = 45000

     x = 45000/24

     x = 1875

The original amount is 1875

∴ Discount he get from wholesaler = 20%x

                                                            = 20/100 × 1875

                                                            = 1/5 × 1875

                                                            = 375

Rs 375 is the discount A get from the wholesaler.
