A pure protein should normally have two ends.

* Proteins are formed of amino acids and each of them has an N terminal end and a C terminal end.

The N terminal is referred to as the amino-terminal and the C terminal is referred to as the carboxy-terminal.

* Protein synthesis takes place by the process of translation and it takes place from the N---->C direction.
