∴Given  

A purse contains rupees 1800 in terms of 50 paise ,Rs 1 and Rs 5 coins in the ratio 2:3:4  

Let the number of coins of 50 paise = 2 x  

The number of coins of of Re. 1 = 3x  

And the number of coins of Rs.5 =4x

 

According to problem,

∴( 2x × 50 ) + ( 3x × 1 )+  ( 4x  × 5 ) =  1800  

⇔ 1x + 3x + 20x = 1800  

⇔24x = 1800  

⇔x = $\frac{1800}{24}$  

⇔x = 24

∴Therefore the number of coin of 50 paise is = 2×24 =28  

The number of coins of of Re. 1  is =3×24 =72  

And the number of coins of Rs.5 is =4× 24=96
