Let 10 paise coins = x

and 50 paise coins = y

Coins = 10x + y

Convert ₹19 to paise = 1900 Paise

Equations :

x+ y = 70 (1)

10x + 50y = 1900 (2)

Lets solve the first equation :

x + y = 70

x = 70 - y

Substitute value of x in Equation 2 :

10 (70-y) + 50y = 1900

700 - 10y + 50y = 1900

40y = 1200

y = 30

Solve this for x :

x + 30 = 70

x = 70 - 30

= 40

Number of 10 paise coins = x = 40
