Given:-

  • In a Bag one Rupee, 50 paise and 25 paise whose values are in the ratio of 1:2:5. The total values of coins are 260.

To find:-

  • the total number of coins.

Solution:-

Let us assume that

  • Number of rs 1 = x
  • Number of 50 p= 2x
  • Number of 25 p= 5x

According to the QUESTION

x + 2x + 5x = 260

→8x = 260

→x =  \frac{260}{8}

→x = 32.5

Hence,

amount \: of \: rs \: 1 \: coin = 32.5 \times 1 = rs. \: 32.5

amount \: of \: 50 \: \: paisa \: coin = 32.5 \times 2  \times 50= 3250 \: paisa = rs. \: 32.5

amount \: of \:25 \: paisa \: coin = 32.5 \times 5 \times 25 = 4062.5 \: paisa

 =  > rs. \: 40.6

On Summing up the above Obtained values the total amount in the bag is Rs. 32.5 + Rs. 32.5+ Rs. 40.6= Rs. 105.6
