Step-by-step explanation:

let the no. of 50 rupee notes be x.

no. of 10 rupee notes = x + 1

x = 50x

x + 1 = 10(x + 1)

ATQ,

50x + 10(x + 1) = 250

50x + 10x + 10 = 250

60x = 240

x = 4

Therefore, number of 10 rupee notes is 5 and number of 50 rupee notes is 4.
