Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of one rupee coins be 3x.

So, the number of two rupee coins be x.

Now, value of 3x one rupee coins = Rs. 1×3x= Rs. 3x and

value of x two rupee coins = Rs. 2×x= Rs. 2x

Given, value of coins = Rs. 115

⇒3x+2x=115

⇒5x=115

⇒x=23

Hence, there are 23 two rupee coins in the purse.
